Hi everyone. As you know we have packed up our lives for two years and are off to Sydney and the sunshine. We are hoping to find work and travel but if all else fails we will be back! We hope that you will keep in touch and add comments to our blog.

Our last day in New South Wales...well for a while!

Hi everyone.... well it has been a bit of a miserable weekend..lots of rain and humidity. Today was our last day in Sydney before we head to Melbourne (if you haven't been reading regularly its in the last post!) I think Chris was quite anxious about what our departure would mean for his weekly trips out to see us, so we headed to Tascott to spend our day with him and say goodbye to the Chapman's. We had anticipated more rain but as we got to the station it looked like a much better day...and Nigel's skin is testament to that..."i will be fine without the suncream..." Chris had booked a tennis court but then not told us, so Nigel managed to borrow some clothes from Chris but I had to sit on the sidelines and watch....not so bad on such a nice day. Here are some photos for you to look at.

Both sides fought well, but Chris won out (bearing in mind he has played tennis for a lot longer and to a much higher standard, this was to be expected...but in the second set Nigel seems to be doing much better) But as you can see they were still the best of friends at the end of the game! After tennis, the temperature had heated up and Chris wanted to take us to his favourite beach...Pearl beach... as you can see from the pictures it is yet another beautiful beach, as they all are here...but we liked this one a lot because it was so quiet and for a while we pretty much had it to ourselves.

Both boys were ready for the water, while again I was unprepared and had to stay on the beach and watch...but I was quite happy to have a relax in the sun while they entertained themselves...who am I to get in between a bit of male bonding... and I had my book to entertain me...the book you can see me with is one of the Twilight series.... I bought them in Heathrow airport as they were on offer, I wanted something to read on the plane and wanted to see what all the fuss was about...then the unthinkable happened I got addicted and I'm almost finished the final book...it was my guilty secret now you all know....

Once Nigel has burnt to a crisp we headed to Woy Woy to meet Kath from work and then head back to say goodbye to her parents Tony and Liz with the knowledge that we will see them soon enough. We are very excited for tomorrow, a flight to Melbourne and finding our new place to stay. It will be a lot different from our stay in Sydney but it will be good to be there I am sure, they sound really nice, lets hope it all works out. Keep your fingers crossed for us...we will update you soon XXX
