Hi everyone. As you know we have packed up our lives for two years and are off to Sydney and the sunshine. We are hoping to find work and travel but if all else fails we will be back! We hope that you will keep in touch and add comments to our blog.

Time to say goodbye and get back on the road again....

After two months of fun and hard graft it was finally time to say goodbye and exchange gifts. As part of my "project beautification" I had painted a special show jump for the Melbourne Eventing Team. Dave was very excited about being able to jump it on his event horse Summer. For those of you that are impressed with my work....you should be! It took a whole day and I did it without any stencil...just a paint brush and a steady hand!
Nigel and I also got to spend our last afternoon enjoying a ride together on two of the livery horses. Nigel is on Khy and I am riding Murphy. I was amazed thta Nigel actually enjoyed himself and managed to canter uphill and not actually realise that he was doing it!! He just thought that the horse was doing something funny with its legs!

Although he enjoyed it he was walking rather oddly when he dismounted...I don't want to make referenece to John Wayne but for a moment he was suprisingly similar! After a quick race around to get the horses fed and watered and us showered we headed out for our present from Bec and Dave for the work we did on our stay. They wanted to give us a true Aussie experience and so had got us tickets to an Aussie rules game!! It was fast, it was crazy and I had no idea what the rules were...but...I loved it!!!

On our return home, there was was just enough time to cuddle our beautiful grumpy puppy and head to bed for sleep as we had to be up early to fly back to Sydney the next day. So on the whole our highfields experience was one that we will never forget and was full of suprises! An excellent thing to do to get an idea of how Aussie's live....Thanks Bec and Dave for a really good time.
